Stages is a performance installation. I designed and helped build a simple platform stage out of palettes and plywood for the purpose of a performance art festival. Invited to contribute work, for the duration of 1 hour, I took the stage apart, disassembled the parts and re-arranged them into a make-shift shelter. I then invited audience members to pass through or spend time under and within the shelter. After which I recruited audience members to help me put the stage back together, teaching some individuals how to use the handheld power drill, screwing the ply back down, restoring it as a stage.
